23/365: Magazine Monday!

I love magazines!!!  I have been subscribing to a select few for years, but I love to page through almost any magazine that has a home interior or beautiful garden on the cover.  Sometimes the wait at the doctor's office isn't long enough. 

So for my first installment of magazine Monday I am going to give a shout out to People Magazine! 

I used to read it in the 80s on occasion, then subscribed in the 90s and have been subscribing almost every year since.  It is the one piece of reading material that German and I both share. We try to beat each other to the mailbox some weeks! :)   It is a quick read, easy to pick up or put down and if it kicks around the house long enough, I will probably read it cover to cover.  It is really the only entertainment magazine I read.  I have learned about celebrities I never thought I'd hear of--the Kardashians for example and I have also been moved to tears from the other articles, one in particular was about a hospice camp for children....deep breath.    I hear about books, movies TV shows and fashion that I wouldn't otherwise hear about.  I love to get the perspective of current events from this magazine, in all it's fluffy seriousness! I have even saved a few, Princess Diana, 9-11, and I love reading about awards shows and I am actually looking forward to Prince William and Kate Middleton's wedding, and I don't consider myself a royal watcher, but it will be fun reading about it in People!  I have read about celeb babies and weddings and affairs and divorces,  I gotta love my People Mag!  Here's one oldie of Julia, one of my faves in the celebrity world!
