Another happy place for me: Target! Well, even more specifically the Dollar Spot at Target! Even better with my best friend, better still, best friend and NO kids!!
Becca and I escaped to Target today, with a very special thanks to her her mom for staying home with 2 of our 3 combined kids, (#3 was with her daddy!). Sofia and I went to Becca's for Katie's b-day party and after all the dust (or moon dough in this case) settled, we decided to go to Target! Her mom very generously stayed at her house and fed Ethan and Sofia and let us have 2 uninterrupted hours of mommy time! Loved it! We spent a good deal of that time in the Dollar Spot section of the store, which is right in the entryway, so usually a ton of things go into the cart, but not all are purchased, since you have the whole store left to wander. I picked up some crazy cute red tin buckets with colorful hand prints, right up my classroom's alley! And I also picked up a rock-my-face-off cute heart-y table runner I was sure was not going to cost a dollar, but it did! Then we wandered the aisles, with diet cokes and soft pretzels from the snack bar in hand, and browsed and chatted and it was lovellllllyyyy! The girl who checked us out was also a Rebecca and we chatted her up as well, too much fun!
In summary: Target, Dollar Spot, Best friend, No kids, Snack bar stop, time to wander, no kids= Happy Place!
( I mentioned no kids and best friend, right? :)
Oh, and by the way, the first person that gives my child moon dough is the first one un-invited the next time, play dough is FAR superior, and much less messy, believe it or don't!
Love TARGET dollar bins (I want to go there right now)......Hate Moon dough (I was the one that bought it for my child because I was completely unaware of how awful it was)...............LOVE that my dear friend had a great time with her bestie.........stay warm and see you tomorrow!
