OK, so my teacher friends and I have been blog stalking a ton of the most creative and fun blogs you can imagine, (I'll post more about them in the future, with links!) One of the things these fun ladies blog about are their favorite things! I am a little frazzled today, this Tuesday-that-feels-like-a-Monday, so I will take advantage of my late afternoon coffee high and post now, while this fave is in my mind and close at hand!!
I love Mr. Sketch scented markers! I have loved these since I was in middle school and our art teacher let us decorate these huge folders we made to store our work (remember all you Lancers out there?). So, luckily as a teacher, my job has allowed the love to continue! Every year, I get a new box from our supply money and I HOARD them, I keep them in a special paint can that the kids are not allowed to use, (don't worry I make sure they have thier own markers). I use the big ones for anchor charts and posters and sentence strips and signs. The fine tip ones (Mr. Sketch Stix) I use to correct papers, which has all the kids immediately rubbing thier noses on the paper to see what scent they got! You can find them in almost all teacher supply catalogs and I just found a box of 18 big ones for $13 at the Office Max near here as I was looking on line for an image to share!! So if you are feeling creative and want new markers, try out Mr. Sketch, or at least take a sniff the next time you see them in the store--they might take you back to middle school!!
