My husband has been having a horrendous time with his stomach and what we were told was reflux. Finally after a lot of time spent checking it out he had an upper endoscopy today-good times. While it looks really nasty in the picture, what you are seeing is his esophagus and stomach lining, very pink and healthy! Only minor irritation and no ulcers. A few labs have to come back, but over all I'd say our house has been more relaxed tonight than it has been in a number of nights! Just having some answers helps. Also he is feeling much better as he is taking some meds to help with the irritation! And how cool is it that we can see pictures of someone's internal organs?! Go medical technology! (I hope I didn't break any HIPPA regulations with this post!)
