This weekend, my family and I attended the funeral of Mr. Lewis. He was someone who I don't remember ever not knowing, probably since he and his wife have been friends with my parents since before the time I was born. The Funeral service was at the church he has been a member of for 20+ (?) years. The church was full, they even had to direct traffic in the parking lot. Inside the church, there was such a nice feeling during the service, kind of an unusual statement, but he was loved by so many people that you could feel the love in the air. All 3 of his grown sons stood up and spoke about him and had lovely things to say. We sang a version of Amazing Grace and Pass it on, one of my favorites. It was really a wonderful celebration of his life. His son, Mike, mentioned a candle in his eulogy, and that he had posted picture of it on his facebook account. Many of his friends re-posted it and made it their profile picture in support of him, what a touching gesture. I wish you all a candle to help you find focus and a feeling of love in the air in a church full of people...
