65/365:My faves!

I love it when my forget-me-nots come up.  Last year and the year before I laid in the grass and took a zillion pictures of them.  I framed a couple and have one on my desk.  This year the weather hasn't been conducive to laying in the grass taking pictures, so i just snapped a couple.  I was really looking for a cute shot for my phone's home screen!  I had a nice crocus picture for the last few weeks, but it was time for a change.  What better than my all time favorite flower!

I have loved forget-me-nots since I was a kid.  I remember running around along the stream that went through Katie Nanovsky's back yard and seeing some sweetly perched along side the bank. They are just the most exquisite shade of blues and sometimes pinks and are so perfectly sized and shaped. They look just like a child's drawing of a flower, simple and sweet.   It wasn't until I was older that I found out that they self-seed and are simple to grow! German and I got married in May because then I could have them in our wedding flowers.   We also gave out seeds as our wedding favors.  It makes this time of year even better, I feel good knowing they are running rampant in my garden! I just love them!
