63/365: Clear the decks!!

Ok, so I have recently been introduced to a great new thing-it is better than crack! Almost as good as chocolate, you aren't going to believe it, but I LOVE neighborhood garage sales!  Last Saturday a certain Jenny-friend and I woke up early and hit a neighborhood sale and man, was it good!  We bought a number of random things, as only a garage sale can produce.  She found some gorgeous polka-dot dishes that she damn near stole from a Celebrate Home dealer (which will fit nicely into my bag when I sneak them out of her house to mine)!  I got Sofia a very sweet headboard which kind of adds to her room in a big girl way, I think. I also got a coffee table, a cabinet, a quilt stand,  a chair some games for school and a knock off purse (for $2)!  None of which I bought for the ticketed price.  I  found that I can haggle pretty well, that is where the thrill comes in!!  The most satisfying part is that I have adhered to a strict rule of not bringing anything in unless something goes out!  So I spent the rest of the weekend de-cluttering, tossing out, packing up and hauling away! (Luckily a rummage sale is on the horizon at a friend's house!)  So, my house feel much lighter and I have parted with some serious stuff that I have had and moved from house to house for years!!!  And an added bonus is that all that stuff will raise money for our school's relay for life team!  Also Jenny and I have new projects to work on, sanding, spraying and decorating!  Love it!
