I have been thinking lately about spaces. I love checking out people's spaces walking around, getting all nosy, I really enjoy looking at pictures of people's spaces, even my own! (you know from my magazine choices that my faves show people's spaces). I am especially interested in work spaces. My Country Living mag arrived this week with a bonus cover showing an impeccable potting area in a garage, there was really nothing garage-y about it, but I loved looking at all the interesting ways they organized potting shed type stuff with glass jars and antique-y string holders, cool stuff. I love wandering around classrooms of other teachers to see how they arranged the furniture or turned a small shelf from home into an organized center for spelling or a cozy reading nook. I can get lost looking. I love talking about it and thinking about the possibilities in my own spaces. I usually return to my room or home feeling inspired to redo!
I get lost looking at teacher blogs, too. I love it when teachers post pictures of their rooms and explain why they did what they did as Kim Adsit did here. And I totally try to look past whichever project they are blogging about to get a glimpse into the other cools things going on in their rooms if I can!
Within the last week or so a couple of my teacher friends and I have been spring cleaning and organizing our little corners of the classroom for maximum efficiency.

Here are a couple of shots from my room, immediately after I finished my latest attempt to be efficient. I put in valiant efforts to keep them looking this way, but alas, I am sure my sprint from the building on Friday left behind some chaos. Maybe I will post some shots of spaces in my house or in my school or spaces of my friends, if they'll let me! Then you can also get lost looking into the ways they organize and keep their stuff, hopefully becoming as inspired as I do looking at the way folk live and work in their spaces!

Today my buddies and I were trying to arrange to meet for coffee and an hour of mommy time, but it turned, (more pleasantly so) into diet Pepsi s around Jenny's kitchen table. We started with talk and ended with action, we tackled Jenny's craft room and left it on the road to remarkable! Hopefully I will have permission to post her finished product soon.
